    Warm Fuzzy Feeling at B-Quik

I got a puncture while driving to work the other morning. After changing the wheel and putting on the spare, I went to work. On the way home I called in to the local B-Quik to get them to repair the tyre. They found a 10cm long cut in the side wall, so no repair. I asked them to put the spare tyre onto the good rim and I'd sort out a new spare later. This they did, balanced and refitted the wheel, went round the truck and checked all the other tyres and wheel nuts, Then refitted the spare rim under the back of the truck.
    Time for the checkbin!!!!
No charge sir..........Yep! you heard right. They did all that and didn't charge me. Gave the fitter a tip, which he was uncomfortable about taking.

So, credit where it's due. Well done B-Quik

    I'll be back.
Do not walk beside me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me for I may not follow. Just pretty much leave me the fuck alone!

I encountered this a lot in Thailand. Where there was no cost to them other than time, it's a freebie knowing that they will get trade when the costly stuff is in the offing. Fair play to them though.

They wanted 7000 baht for a new tyre. It'll only be used as a spare so I'll look around for something cheaper at the weekend.

Use b-quik once vehicles are out of warranty some of the time, always excellent service and located at shopping centers so you can do a bit of shopping while you wait
I find the dealers prices in Thailand much cheaper than in Australia and am quite happy paying slightly extra for their service if i am passing even when the vehicle is out of warranty

i had a similar "no charge" experience last week at a toyota dealership.

a couple of years ago, whilst parked, a car or motorcycle hit the back of my vigo pick up, the result was that the rear bumper was knocked out of its horizontal position and severely dented.

it was only a cosmetic thing, and i didnt bother getting it fixed.

last week, when passing the local toyota dealership, i popped in and asked them what would be the cost of repairing the rear bumper.

they immediately took the car into the workshop "to have a look" and 40 minutes later returned with the bumper perfectly re-positioned and with the dents gone.

    no charge.

i thanked them profusely, gave the guys a tip and came away amazed.

in the uk it would have involved lengthy chin stroking, an appointment for two weeks later and a very hefty bill.
