Well, to me it's a baby. Its a 4 wheeled cab-over. You can legally drive it. I have a buddy who has a similar one as a food truck. He, and his lil wifey drive it.

I would buy & drive it without a second thought

If you flip your lisence over, what you can drive is pictured there. 4 wheeled cars, trucks & minibuses.

If what you wanna legally drive has 6 wheels or is longer, with a tandem axle then probably not.

I don't think that it would be legal as it would be classed as a truck.

4 wheeled little cab over truck isn't gonna need a diff license.

The only way to know is to talk to land & transport dep or buy the truck & drive it.
You would make sure you are covered be insurance.

Seems to me if he's using it for "fun" or for macro runs, it's his or his wife's personal vehicle, doesn't drive commercially & shit he's fine.

I'm failing to see how it being a cabover somehow makes it need a separate license.

I tried to get a commercial license here before because I have a Class A in the states. They said no way. Wouldn't even hear it. Only for Thai.

Maybe diff for another province though.

They are 2 different kinds of vehicle. The truck in the OP is not a pick up truck.

What's the difference? Ones a cab over? They drive the same and probably can carry almost the same weight.

Maybe you're right, but I'm not seeing anything in that link that makes any difference other than gross weight, passengers, or commercial.
