Choose One Car From History To Drive.

I would need to choose a Duesenberg SJ

It was the fastest car in the World in the 1930's. Eight Cylinder Supercharged 6.9L engine.

Capable of 104mph in 2nd gear! And tops out at 140mph.

Imagine flying down the autobahn at 140mph in 1936 in that.

    Over to you.

    Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

Similarly was the world's fastest production car when it came out in the 70's.

An old mate of mine had a garage in the UK which specialized in renovating classic cars, and he had this beaut in for some work.

Took a couple of us out for a spin. The Vantage had 3 forward manual gears and did 0-60 in under 5 secs. The acceleration was amazing.

    The Aston's are beauts.

It looks quite like an American muscle car, that one. Not that that is good or bad.

Not as imaginative as some granted, but I'd choose a R/T E49 Charger:

Only because I've always wanted to, probably never will, and it's fantasy so fuck you.

Yeah, the front end looks like a Mustang, maybe a Shelby design?

the mustang and vantage often feature in lists of commonly confused cars

I bought a vantage last week but it is only 10cm long!

    Nice.

They don't build them like they used to.

Didn't Richard Hammond splash out on an old wooden car when he made it big?

A true dream car since many years ago. The problem is even if I won the Lottery and had a lazy million+ dollars to buy an original car I couldn't drive it!. Tried to sit in a dimension-perfect replica once and simply could not get behind the wheel and into any comfortable position to operate it, these cars are not for tall drivers
