I need a scooter as a runaround now that I'm living in a semi rural area of Nonthaburi. The Yamaha Aerox 155 seems to be the bike of the moment. Loving the wheels and tyre size. Any other recommendations?

My click was stolen a while back so am now getting round to sourcing a replacement and to date the best bang for buck in the 125cc category is the Yamaha GT125.
That Aerox looks the goods though, much better styling than the PCX.
Is bike theft a problem? It's not something often talked about here.
Below is Yam's PCX competitor. Same engine as the Aerox. I'm not really looking for a commuter machine.
Get a bicycle.
Already have one Prag. Great for nipping to 7-11 after breakfast but not much fun for heading to the local mall in the midday sun if the car is elsewhere. Getting bored of ordering taxis.
Honda wave 125. Last for ever, cheap to maintain. Cam't go wrong.
Yeah they're ok Fred. Cheap as chips. I don't like the clunky semi auto 4 speed though.
Used Honda Wave. Millions to choose from. Stable and unlikely to be stolen. Ooops, I forgot. You are not smart enough to handle a bike with gears.
Thanks chas. I have a CB500X in the UK. Auto
Honda Fino? Small for moving around traffic and packs enough punch for getting in front of traffic.Ah, good memories of riding it to Nakhon Nayok!
I have this one. I only buy Yamaha scooters & im on my 4th one. Had several Mio's and now one like this. Absolutely can not go wrong. I wanna say it was like 45k new.Originally Posted by Fondles
GT125?
I prefer Honda to Yamaha but they don't seem to have anything cool out.
Getting old as your memory is shot? Yamaha makes the FinoOriginally Posted by Mandaloopy

45000k on a 2011 125 gt.
Zero problems.
Clicks always have auto dramas a.
Also we have two Aerox 155.
So far so good but taller riders complain of lack of leg/knee room.
We have had just aboutevery scooter made for rent.
Mios are the best auto if you dont want your hand in your pocket regular like.
Just like the one I pictured. I always buy Yamaha here. The Click 125 was almost 10k more and its a simple scooter. No point in spending another 10k.Originally Posted by Immigrunt

I like the space in the middle of them, like the Vespa but with 2 storage pockets
I had a spin round Penang on a Vespa 150 not long ago. It was rapid. They have a common fault with ignition pins though apparently, so the bloke said after i pushed it back.
I walked into a Vespa showroom here and enquired -200,000 baht. Can get nearly 5 scoopys for that.mental. theyre only made in Vietnam too.
Its the handlebar size you should worry about for squeezing between cars in BangkokOriginally Posted by Immigrunt

Cheers dill. I'm not worried about deprecation. Even the racy little aerox 155 is only about 68k and will last a decade. I'll regularly be here for a month or two in the future after i repatriate again next year so I won't sell it.
I love the looks of the mslaz but it's not so suited to suburban life.
just tried to buy a GT125 from my local mityon dealer.
asked the price then dropped the cash on the counter along with my passport and work permit.
Dumb bint was insistent I need a residency certificate even after explaing to her ive purchase 2 scooters from mityon on 3rd road with no need for resi cert as I have a work permit she was having none of it.
Told her to call head office and ask, she refused so I scooped up my cash and documents and left.
The Meth One's Fuck The Best !!
How much were they asking for that one?Originally Posted by Fondles

Had same nonsense from the first Honda dealer I went to here. Went to different one next day. No problem. The owner, a woman, was happy to make the sale on a scooter not likely to sell quickly in poor boy country.
Don't quote me on this, but I thought scooter places hate 100% cash down. They make next to nothing on the commission compared to what they could get if you finance.Originally Posted by Fondles
