    Powder Coating

    Gentlemen,

I am looking for a powder coating company that can handle large one off parts. On the buggy that I am building the frame measures in at 3.1 x 1.0 x 1.2 metres. I have contacted a number of powder coating companies but all of them have small ovens that are setup for motorcycle frames and parts. Haven't had any luck finding anyone that can handle large parts yet. Any leads to a company that can do parts this size would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Barty

Powder Coating is a fantastic way to coat frame's etc,,, but, if not done correctly, it can be a total waste of time and money, eg, we had a job come in to our workshop that was processed at another powder coating plant,, you could scrape the coating off with total ease, needless to say the customer was pissed of to the max, the guy had to dismantle the job, bring it to us where we had to re prepare and re coat, answer, make sure where you will get the work done know what they are doing, ask them for what powder they will be using, the cook time and temperature, also how it is prepared.

I asked her too, but at 2,000 Baht and an hour to do the job I didn't trust the quality of her work. She did mention that the job would be done by hand though.
