Name is on the car, but regardless, not so common, driven by a 79 year old who has owned it for over 30 years

A Singer Gazelle, late 50s early 60s. A failed attempt to glamourize the stodgy British designs of the time by incorporating American styling tropes, in this case the wraparound rear window and tail fins.It never seemed to work on the smaller British saloons.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Sunbeam Rapiers were 2 door only.

    Registered as 1962 Singer Gazelle

The Singer Gazelle name has been applied to two generations of motor cars from the British manufacturer Singer. It was positioned between the basic Hillman range and the more sporting Sunbeam versions.

Correct. Which is why a Gazelle is a four door version of the Rapier.

I didn't say they only made 3 and the Aust assembled ones were from CKD kits, none of which were T1 23 window / split-screens.

    What he said.

Exact same spec just different badges as far as I know.

And a pic of that $1,100,000 car that would have cost about $4,800 when new for no other reason than seeing one in Monza Green is very rare, and they're my favourite car ever

If that pic was from the US, I would say that was an early '70s Chevy Nova (which was the only American car I ever owned), but it looks a bit off, so I think it's some Aussie car.

You may be onto something but I'm struggling to find one with square headlights. Maybe they have been changed though.

I thought maybe a 70s Datsun. Not many with square headlights and those wing mirrors might not have been on the original car. I couldn't find an image to support my theory.

    This one?

Datsun model series B310 was the fourth-generation Sunny. They were sold 1977-1983 and marketed in various countries as the Datsun 210 or Datsun Sunny. In some countries it was designated Datsun 120Y, Datsun 130Y, Datsun 140Y or Datsun 150Y, depending on the engine fitted.

Nope wrong spy. Front blinkers wrap around the wing and it has 3 windows each side.

Ok, keep trying. First choice was two door Corolla.

The Datsuns were producef on several countrirs and available in multiple configurations, round headlights, square headlights, double headlights ...

And unsure those wing mirrors are standard.

That was the point where I tired. The rear edge of the coupe window is also a clue. But again...
