    Nice car.!!!
I had an VH Charger back in the day, so almost [!] the same. If you've still got the 3 speed floorshift, make sure you've got first gear and not reverse at the traffic lights drag!! Embarrassed myself more than once....

Cheers. I've been on the look out for one for an age but they very rarely come on the market and then all me stars aligned on this one.

Quite a long but fascinating (to me anyway) story behind this particular car.

Love me a Charger too, great cars.

I briefly flirted with the idea on buying an E37 R/T but could't really justify the price.

    Thanks for the tip.

Mine's a factory original 4 spd car by the way. Part of what makes it so rare.

^Did you buy it off the AMC website?. Regardless of what you paid you've made a good investment, it'll only appreciate over time.

There's a serious resurgence going on with 60's - 70's Aussie muscle cars right now, some ridiculous prices are not only being asked, they're getting it. Phase 3 Shakers are still the benchmark but Torana's and Monaro's are cashing in big time now too. Good A9X's and 308 or 327 Monaro's are pulling around 200k, L34's and 350 Monaro's are even higher and owners are mainly taking them to auction now (smart move).

Nope a mate of mine alerted me to it. Kinda almost but not really a barn find, some old chap had it stowed away in his garage.

Yep that's the truth. As the saying goes 'they'll never be as cheap again as they are right now'.

I still remember a time when you could buy a Pacer for $5-6,000, XU1's for about the same, and even an R/T Charger for $10,000.

Those figures wouldn't even start an opening bid at auction these days.

Have a look on the AMC website, there's a couple of Chargers available right now if you've got a lazy AUD 250k

Yeah seen those... that E38's $280k and would be another 15% on top of that in tax and duties to get it back to NZ... *Shudder!*

I often have a gander at that website. They have some lovely stuff go through there.

    I wish mate!

Currently running E38 cam, 4bl carb and headers/extractors.

That’s the plan though to have pretty much exactly same as that pic with E49 cam and triple Webbers.

My wife used to have one the same colour but her exhaust pipe was bigger . Some sort of Toyota turbocharged straight six under the hood.
