No thanks, I'd prefer to walk than drive a Holden.
Passing resemblance to Vauxhall Victor FC ?
Re #1322 the ?? Volvo
Hadn't heard of the Amazon model
From Volvo Club of Thailand, an Amazon estate
With a ? EH Holden
From same site, another Holden
^An EH?. Great looking car, lovely colour, and it's always nice to see old cars like that being preserved in pristine condition.
That Holden is a EJ,easiest way to tell apart in the wagons is the EH had a square/upright
rear, not the tail lights extended out,EH is a way better looking car and it shows in prices
for good ones for sale compared to the EJ.
Zodiac was more upmarket and only came with a 6 cylinder engine. Twin headlights and a full width grille plus lots of minor details of the sort that you would expect from a car that was intended to be more plush than the bread and butter Zephyr. Most of the ones that survived into the 80s ended their days as Stock Cars.
Wash your mouth out with soap! They ended up as Bangers. Stock cars are purpose built tubular chassis single seaters.Originally Posted by Warwick

the hood ornament looks like that of a 195? chevy.
^ right... Registration label says 1952 Chevrolet Pickup, but that would be year first registered in NZ, not necessarily year of manufacture
The grille doesn't match ones I've seen previously??
In the Spedeworth lineup your pic is of Superstox. Stock cars were/are saloons reinforced with a couple of straight-throughs and assorted bracing.Originally Posted by VocalNeal
I did not realise George Polley was still involved; a great driver and seems to have been going for ever.
It's a 1949 – 1952 Australian Chevrolet coupe ute
General Motors replaced Chev utes with their all-Australian Holden utes in 1952. For the final model years, '49-52, GM Australia built around 8,000 Chev coupe utilities. They used the American Chevrolet sedan front clip and fabricated rear quarters and the ute tray at their Fisherman's Bend plant in the southern Australian state of Victoria. And while there is little doubt that this ute's heart is American, it bears the souls of a great Aussie icon.
Here's one for yah?
might it be a 1962 Chrysler Newport ?
It's hard one this......
^^ First I though a Studebaker (don't know why) then thought Chrysler, early 60's
Maybe a 4 door version of the 300?
Or a '62 Chrysler ?
