    ^ X6 more like..

    Nice mid range soft-roader.
Drives well on the road. Bit roomier than a CRV.

^ but not as well appointed/comfy. I'd prefer a CR-V, but the Mazda drives better. The Mazda is a nice option, not spectacular.

I've test driven this car already and it's much better than the CR-V in every way, but I'm referring to the diesel. Fortunately, the Thai version doesn't come with some of the extras that are fitted in the UK as they appear to be a pain in the ass, such as the auto shut off which judders on re-launch. I've test driven both side by side jumping from one to the other and the Mazda is in a different class compared to the Honda. If you like storage compartments, go for the Honda but it's a sluggish motor in comparison.

For what it's worth this review thought it was good. From the US so may be differences.

I had a 2 minute test drive in one yesterday... I think a Fortuner offers more value.

According to the reviews and Mazda's own website the diesel version comes with i-stop.
What happens to the aircon when it stops?

I had a test drive in one today. It seems quite good. Has the same motor as my BT50 but a bit better refined. Had the i-stop which didn't shudder as someone mentioned earlier, they must have got it sorted. I'm seriously considering getting one.
