    Yehhhh welcome.

I suspect your building a kit car!
A mate had one, bought the thing done same mind set as me in as what,s the fuck in point.
Rapid motor though as it weight fuck all,but not doubt fold up like paper if you wrapped it up.

Prove me a cnut by posting a photo of your build that,s not like I describe.
What was your mates name and what colour was the car ? Not the chap from Specialised Engines, was it ??
You have proved me a cnut your work was not what I was expecting, nice one.

You would not know my mate, and as Im going back about 25 years can not even remember what his car was called.
Best I can do is say it had a 1600 ford lump and was a two seater softtop.
They used to race similar motors around Brands Hatch, again not much help.
We all used to take the piss out of him as it did look fucking rough, not exactly a head turner as he thought.

Ratch, you have to give the "devil his do". Very nice work. I would like to see the original body on a HOT ROD as that would be cool also.

There was only one made as it would not be able to get a compliance plate for production.( this was a proto type ) the only one in Australia

The guy I did the job for has the moulds for the body the Trike is 8 meters long.

the Trike has a Buick V6 front wheel driven at the rear with Harley front end

They is no rod under that body, It hand shape it from a picture on to PU foam.

Ratch, I understand what you're talking about but his body forming is great work. The work your friend did on the trike is fantastic. Two different ways to go about making a body.

Do you have any pics of your build? Your build is very unique and I'm sure it would make for a very informative thread.

Yes, its that crazy time of life again, now starting to assemble the 3 V8's to make a V24. Chassis away being blasted and coated, engines on the operating table, its all going OK so far. Made a few changes along the way, but its all happening. 10.5 litre, 3 speed auto and 19" artillery wheels, haha, you only live once.

Great stuff you're doing, would like to know more about the process. What kind of drive train are you using in the Mustang?

Mustang has a 400 ci from a 1978 Continental.. Car is going to be sold soon, Had it 5 years now and its not getting much use, plus I am about to build a house and want to use the money for materials etc.

The engines will each have a starter, just not fitted yet.

Do you really think that will work? Not sure if the engines will end up shaking each other apart....Everything will be ever so slightly out and cause lots of vibration surely?

Well , heres one with 4 engines, and tractor pulling units use up to 7 engines, so I am quite happy to use 3.........

    getting the lines

Getting closer to working out bonnet line and seating position, although its gonna have a single bench type seat, not 2 singles. They are just to get an idea of height.

Bloody hell. Hats off for pulling something like that together! It would be cool if it was in a body similar to a Napier Railton. Or that thing Jay Leno had built with a tank engine in it.

Bit late but I noticed that the crank throw of the engines is the same. Wouldn't it have been better to stagger them 120 deg ( or some other hitech amount) for smoother idle?

    Still a good pastime!

May be what VocalNeal is talking about is the three engines all facing the same direction the torque of the 3 engines may be flip the car.
Many years ago I met a guy from Brisbane at the Melbourne motor show.
He was trying to find a sponsor for a attempt for world motor bike speed record.
He built a motor bike with a 350c/i V8 chevy engine.
Later that year he when for 1st test run, at 80 kilometres per hour the bike flipped
    Killing him.
Now you you have 3 engines all rotating the same direction.

Hensen did you watch the 1st YT Video he is talking about the 4 engine 2 facing forward & 2 facing back wards.
They had to do this as the torque would flip the car.
I hope you have look into this & good luck

Everybody is assuming I am going to be driving flat out everywhere, losing my clean licence, spoiling my 41 years no claims bonus, killing other people and myself. Well, guess what, thats not the intention. Any anyone knowing even the slightest about cars, would know that with 4 inch cross ply tyres, a rear wheel would just spin, if any big amount of power was used. To repeat the video, etc, this car is to attract attention at car shows etc, its just Hollywood theatre, not a genuine land world speed contender.
