Good for you and I hope your happy with the product.

As for visiting....yeah nah. My prototype workshop puts them to shame with just equipment, add to that the expat experts overseeing the operation (1 Boilermaker/ 1 Machinist/ 1Sheet metal) the Thai staff are well versed in how it should be done properly using the correct consumables for the correct process.

If I decide I need a trailer I am sure I can sort one myself.

where did I imply I could would be the rebuttal, you seem to not understand the concept of the very large vehicle modification company that has full in house design and prototyping capabilities that I have at my disposal.

Get them to do one from mild and have it gal dipped and it will outlive you, you know, the ones they say they are good at building (read their website, thats their bread and butter work).
You absolutely implied they made a bad product in several posts, claiming incorrect equipment and untrained staff, but whatever...

Galvanized steel doesn't have the longevity of stainless- it will rust at every tiny nick and ding, and then completely rust through once the coating wears off- no thanks. To say it will 'outlive' me (especially in LOS) is ridiculous- it will last a few years and then lose structural integrity.

They sell a lot of galvanized steel for two reasons- one, it's cheap, and people want to save money rather than bite-the-bullet and pay a lot upfront, and two, it's better for marine applications (stainless needs oxygen to maintain its coating) and they make a lot of boat trailers.

Each to their own and all that but I would much prefer something that slowly rotted away before my eyes than something that just randomly gave up to fatigue one day and my precious motorcycle departed company from the tow vehicle and possibly killed a few randoms on the way.

You want Stainless Steel, have Stainless Steel, good for you.

fucks me why you would want a trailer that is both heavier and more expensive when the alternate will do you just fine, must be the "my check book is bigger than you cock" syndrome that seems to effect a lot out here.

And with the correct towbar you was told of it's capacity.

Says the guy who brags about 'his' Ford shop in nearly every thread, like you own the company... you sure like to swing that around like a big dick...

In any case, I buy the best I can afford- I think stainless is better for the application than galvanized steel (and so do most high-end trailer companies)- I've seen you be absolutely dead-wrong (even calling the guy who turned out to be absolutely right a 'retard') before, so forgive me if I don't take your opinion as gospel.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I actually got the info from Ford- I still haven't vetted what you posted, but I would imagine it's correct (it's turned out to not be an issue as I can't get the trailer in the OP).

How do you haul a single bike? I don't see rails down the middle (your third pic didn't show up).

I understand the points you made earlier regarding putting a bike in the bed rather than pulling a trailer (though the fact I'm getting a lockbox or tonneau cover would make that impossible), but I also think that a better-constructed model might have swayed your opinion a bit.

not my kind of bike at all. its weight, power and speed would scare me shitless

i prefer light weight stripped down cafe racer style machines.

from an aesthetic point of view it looks too large and those side vents in the fairing remind me of a Ferrari testorossa or triumph trophy but i realise aerodynamics play a large part in the styling of such beasts.

Don’t argue with idiots because they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

The bike I most enjoyed owning was my 2000 Hayabusa, and I'm trying to get back to that- I thought it was ugly (and still do) but I didn't care- as you noted, every inch of the Kawi was designed in a wind-tunnel and there's nothing there without purpose.

I'm no longer interested in touring- if I was, the Triumph would really appeal to me, but I want another beast of a bike (if I can justify the price- time will tell).

In another five years I'll look for a Concours or something similar.

Moly tube I can Tig weld (never done MIG) and comes from my race car fabrication back ground.

Joining mild to stainless is a no no and the fact you are doing it tells me you are nothing but a cowboy or a fucking idiot.

if vintage, i could fall for this one... yamaha xt500

the green of the ninja looks good...

aerodynamics on a motor bike isnt all that important is it?
you barely can go full speed, and then for not long, and then its only yourself that is "in the way"...
so aerodynamics ... no sure if this is a criteria?

Well here come the name calling from skid boy you

You have not seen chrome moly Mig welded before ,when the steel is 25 mm thick the Tig will not do it & you will have to use a Mig & per heat.

Now you are a Co-k who think a burn out in a skid.

If you would like to know I work 5 year on a car that brock the Australian land speed record

Industry standard (In Australia) says moly tube should not be mig welded.

Good for you to "buck the trend" so to speak.

I prefer to build cars and cages within the given industry standards.

How did you "brock" the Australian Land Speed Record? Given such a feat (and the fact we are both Australian petrol heads) you should have no issues and sending me a PM to take this out of the public domain as we should have a lot in common.

Ive nothing to hide with me employment, achievements and abilities, do you? flick me a PM.
