As to what make, it appears to come down to ones choise, maybe Toyota because of the resale.
After talking to my wife, we have decided that is the way we will go, a maybe Toyota pickup. I will give an answer as to how we go in December.
I appreciate the good replys, Thankyou.
You can't go wrong with a Toyota pick-up for all the reasons already posted. They are a good buy here in Thailand compared to other models and I am sure you will not regret your purchase. Good choice.
I tend to agree with you, one thing I noticed while looking at Isuzu and Toyota extra cabs ( with the extra small bench seat ? ) I thought the Toyota was way ahead in creature comfort and finnish. I am not all that worried about resale value, I will be keep it till the wheels fall off anyway.

My neighbour has the 2012 4 door pick up toyota, after seeing/driving my Colorado he is now convinced that the Colorado is the better choice . We have taken both cars off road and the Toyota doesn't come near the Colorado. Driving in town the toyota was easier coz of being smaller, then again my 4 x 4 is mainly used on off road terrain, which is the terrain where I use it for.

Anyone who listens to a Thai's opinion about anything that isn't related to foraging in what used to be the jungle should be shot.

^ It's not that they're wrong, just that their info is about 10 years out dated.

Hmm, gotta agree with marmite there even though he doesn't like my beloved Chevrolet Colorado. To be frank, I wanted the ranger but had no intention of waiting 6 months to get one, but aside from the ranger IMO the Colorado is a decent 4x4.
Had and isuzu before, didn't like it one bit, sold it after 1 year, then bought a Honda Civic full option, great car but only for city driving. So now the colorado does all I want but I think we are getting a small city car to drive around in town, hmm maybe a brio or mazda 2, have to give that one some more thought. Smart as I am heheh, I was a bit fast in selling the civic, thinking that the colorado would also be good for using in town, it's not, way too big. Then again for our plantation and longer distances it is a great ride.

Thats a bit silly Fondles how many Thai have licences ?
Besides, if you were running that Tata, who would ask you for your licence?

The licence is to buy the thing not drive it.

I guess he is Thai and wants to make you feel good about your choice of pickups...

I suppose his wife has said you are handsome also?

Face facts, that Colarado isn't better than a Toyota.

he's Swedish , the toyota isn't worth very much as working vehicle, we tested both cars in our plantation pulling trailers loaded with palm and the toyota just couldn't pull as much as the colorado ! Now back to your honda dream you
