Isuzu Lorries, a thread for posterity

I saw this old Isuzu Truck down in Ban Chang, so I decided to take some pictures of it cos it cant be long before they aint allowed on the roads anymore, I assume they aint allowed in Bangkok anymore, just hope it wont be long before they are banned from Chonburi.

The design looks about 60 years old and I really doubt if you would be allowed to import them into a normal country.

Naaa, it is totally knackered, you can see it hasn't even got a horn button, no Thai worthy of any self esteem would drive a vehicle without a horn button

    That's a real man's truck.
    No mamby-pamby power assisted steering.
You won't see a poofter climbing into that cab, you have to have a biceps diploma to apply for the job, also an IQ of 3 and somtum down the front of your shirt.

My brother-in-law has one of those and a newer 10 wheeler, he makes more money of the isuzu as it's more reliable, uses less fuel and can legaly carry more weight. The downside is they are really slow, underpowerd and with no power steering a bitch to drive. They are still legal everywhere I think
I have more than the average number of arm and legs

    I love seeing them too!
I saw a bunch of those Isuzu brutes north of Bangkok working hauling sugar cane.

Not an Isuzu. This one claims to be a Chevy.

The "new" Isuzu trucks are even worse... They rattle past my window like fucking tanks 24 hours a day... I keep dreaming I am in Iraq or summit ...

^^ Prolly an Izuzu under that fancy American sheet metal design...

Am able to inform all that they are still running around Bangers as of Monday afternoon... Flocker almost ran me over while standing on the curb. Swung a little too tight he did. Oh, yeah and 4 people on that shitty little bench seat.

Will miss them when they are gone (about another 50 years or so), they are still heavily used here in orchard country.

    I love these.
I've got my eye on a dump truck for my future.
The owner said this one is 50 years old!

    This one's a real beauty. She's 30 years old!

One caught passing a check point.
It's a bit more my speed.

They are in superb condition for their age.

My Mrs calls them "Ugly Face Truck"!!

I am thinking of getting her driving lessons as she has learnt the elementry driving expression "You fucking wanker" which she has got off to a fine art!

Yea they really are, there must be someone around here restoring them.
I sooner buy a nice older truck like these than anything else.

I remember seeing some which looked almost brand new. Are you sure there isn't some factory somewhere still churning them out?

This one doesn't look too new though
