Just booze and sex, once you get invited to the orgies I'm sure you and your wife will enjoy yourselves.
DD - 5 1/2 years & 50K + posts on TD & still feeding trolls ? Guess you're almost as pissed as I am right now :-)
Why do you question that a married expat with children would experience a different life in Thailand and compared to the life he may have in his birth country?Originally Posted by riclagriclag

Quite possibly it's hotter here but for your average family man no different and when compared to being a family man anywhere else in the world.
Now if you are single it's a far different story as it is anywhere else in the world.
^ but LT he was asking about retirerment (sic) !
When I worked hard, I worked 16 hours perday, my life was my lunch hour, which normally was lunch in some restaurant or if I didn't have time it was a takeaway from 7/11, hey, this sounds like life in a normal country, fuk me sideways, some of us live lives like people do in other countries, now thats a suprise
OK then, go down the pub or bar for a beer with your mates, play a game of golf or spend time with your wife as most retirees do in their country of birth.Originally Posted by Finney64
Thailand, away from the whoremonger's areas is no different to other places on this planet, only a lot cheaper when it comes to cost of living
Orgies man, thats where it is at, get your wife involved in gang bangs.

I'm sorry, but being married (faithfully) and retired sounds like a death sentence from boredom no matter where you live. I'm not married, but I work even though I do not need to just to keep my mind working.

Agreed, all great ideas. I sometimes hop a bus and ride. Hop off in an area that interests me and walk around then hop back on the next one. I am a fisherman so that happens along various rivers.
Retirement is doing things on your terms however you definitely need some sort of purpose.

Watch the plants grow. Things grow faster here so it's more exciting than the UK.
I might buy a fish soon.
Yes, with the busiest time being between 5 and 7pm. It's called happy hour when working guys stop in their local bar for a beer or two on the way home from work as most married guys do in the west.Originally Posted by gupo
Along with that most married blokes I know meet up with their wives/ girlfriends when they get off work for dinner or a few drinks.
Tell us what your married mates get up to gupo?
I recon when I retire just for a giggle I will watch Butters and Socal shagging there lady boys in the arse and throw darts at them seeing which one I can hit in the bollocks first.
After that I'll call up LT and go have a few beers and a feed.
Send the wife out to work until all the money is gone.
