I just set up a device in New York that will let me watch American satellite TV in Thailand (I'll try it out when I get back to Thailand next week, but it should work no problem- I've tested it in the States already)- you would need a dedicated receiver box set up in the Netherlands (I ordered an extra one and had it installed at my mother's house as an addition to her regular account- it was only $7 or about 220 baht per month- I don't know how much it would be in Europe, of course) and a decent internet upload speed (1mb at least- closer to 2mb would be better)- the device allows me to control the satellite box from anywhere in the world (there's a virtual remote) and download a player on any computer, iPad, Blackberry, Android, or iPhone.

I've got this one- Monsoon Multimedia Vulkano - Watch and control your TV from anywhere- it's a bit technical to install and it's still really in the 'beta test' phase- you would probably be better off with a Slingbox (Sling Media - Corporate Home) which is easier to set up and has been around for years.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
