Yes you can. PVRs are a bit hard to find + expensive. I don't know Tivos and not sure they'd work here - I assume since there's no official service here the Tivo would need to be able to act as a normal PVR and simply record a signal.

The cheapest solution is PC add-ons. I got an external TV receiver for 1000 baht. It connects to the TV / sat box, and records video to your PC over USB. It's very basic but it did its job OK.

True sells an official PVR box I believe. Not sure on the price but I think it was pretty expensive, 15 - 18k baht, something like that. LG used to sell TVs that had a built in hard disk but they don't seem to anymore, it was called TimeMachine.

Look at NFL's Sunday ticket or some similar name. Can watch every regular season game no matter when your viewing. Also live games of your choice, up to four at a time. With a broad band connection its quite good. Had it for last year and will do so again...

Subscription is approx. $300 but well worth it if your a fan.

All teams all season and you select the week and the team.

Not to worry. If you are watching the games on TruevisionstV the games they show will be rebroadcast several time in the following week.

Last year their live games were: An early Sunday game (east coast home team), a late Sunday game (west coast home team), Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football.

God knows what they will air this year though. If they are anything it's that they are inconsistant. Though having said that the pre-season games being show now on ASN Channel 108 follow last years mold. The Jet's and Giant's were live this morning at 7:00 and will rerun this evening at 19:00

I bought a nice LG DVD recorder at Tesco for 4000 baht about a year ago. Granted you have to buy discs for it, but they are cheap enough. The thing works flawlessly and would be quite adequate for what you describe and cheap too.

Yes they do; I thought it was around 20k, but can't remember cause I dumped UBC about a year ago; needed more time on TD.

Yes it would - a fair idea... kinda like going back to the future.
