    Exclamation Be Warned!

One thing that really does my head in, and is part and parcel of living in Thailand is noisy traffic - especially trucks with modified exhausts - what the fcuk is that about!
    Complaining is getting me nowhere!
    So, it's time for action!
This is where the warning comes into effect, dodgy builders with noisy trucks take note!
This weekend I shall be taking up position "somewhere" in Pattaya with my decibel meter (still to be sourced?) and any noisy vehicle will be stopped!
If I don't get a promise from the "Driver" to STOP the noise pollution at the first opportunity, I will be making a citizens arrest and will escort them to the nearest plod house where hopefully they will be incarcerated until they change their evil ways!
I still have a few details to work through, will I need a uniform? etc
But, should anyone else care to join in my campaign, where ever you are in Thailand - Please feel free, collectively we Can make a difference.

My truck is quiet, anyway you will probably be arrested for impersonating a police officer or working without a work permit

Much more useful to stop all the noisy "big bikes". And the riders are much more amenable to someone suggesting they "fix" their pipes.

Yes, have to start 'moderating' the roads, can't have people drive vehicles which make noises...

Agreed, and the riders will probably relocate or 'stick' the offending exhaust pipes elsewhere that would enable the OP to flatulate with a much lowered decibel rate.

That's right - we have moderated threads/forums, why not roads?

The secret potion for noisy equipment ie trucks, busses, excavators, harleys is one liter of corn syrup added to the motor oil. 2 liters if the capacity is over 8 liters.,
As soon as the engine gets hot the sugar in the corn syrup crystalizes and seizes the engine. No more noise or smoke! Magic!

I'd like to do it to all the foking tour busses in Phuket.

A spoonful of sugar in the gas tank will do the job for most bikes in the Los.

They are not always right. I left a can of coke in my car once for 2 hours here. And it imploded (the can was twisted)

Sugar in the gas tank doesn't do anything except clog the fuel filters.
Corn syrup in the engines crankcase will lock it up. On a heavy piece of equipment with a big diesel kiss $10,000+ goodbye!
