My brother in law just informed me today he's coming in 2 weeks time with the sister of my wife and children.
They did not visit for 2 years.
He's American from Minnesota and I'm sure looking forward to discussing the Obama/Clinton story.
Especially that he's a die hard republican...

How many months until your visa expires?

Seriously, how does that work? To me, an expat calling Thailand home is similar to a tourist calling a hotel home. Home to me is the place that I have complete peace of mind, long-term security, and a wholehearted sense of belonging.

What made me happy to be in Thailand this week? Nothing in particular, other than I continued with my current life pleasure preferences. I'm sure I could find them in many other countries too, if I could be bothered.

Aah, that would be prison, an opium den or a coffin.

Anywhere else my friend is just you and your delusions.

I wasn't in Thailand this week but after looking at Chiang Mai Noon's home building thread and all depressed because the bloody California real estate market has left me with a serious case of short-of-cash and had to call my wife in Si Sa Ket to tell her that we could not start on building our house by the river, her real and genuine response was don't worry honey we can always live in my house in the village, the flipping thing is about one meter square, she was serious and showed that she loves me for who I am and not for my or lack of money.

    Another great week

Watching Wales Grand Slam with some great compnay and one knob in a Bedford shirt.
A great productive week at work, including a meeting trip to Chonburi which went well.
A great evening spent with my Thai clolleagues in a sound studio practising for the office party last night.
The office party last night. magnificent evening, I'd love to post some pics but I can't do it without permission from my colleagues, but I won't be asking.
