I thought of a radiated rat snake at first but it doesn't look quite right.
I think maybe a painted bronzeback? I've never seen one down this way.
Do we have a snakes of Thailand page on here?
This is my go to snake identification book and it will fit in your back pocket while hiking.

Isn't the painted bronzeback called a "Singh" snake (nngoo Singh) by locals? If it is the one I am thinking of they are common in rice fields and tend to move much faster than most snakes. Saw them whip across the roads and trails at warp speed many times up in Mae Taeng.
Putin Must Die
Looks like a Bronzeback, based on the head in the second picture. There are quite a few around here. Very slender and usually about 1 metre.
There is a website that is sometimes useful:
Cobras in Your Yard? What to Do? | ThailandSnakes
^^ I thought nngoo singh was the rat snake although to be honest I haven't met many Thais who can tell one snake from another. Around this way they seem to kill all snakes in case it's a bad one.

Probably a Painted bronzeback, aka Common bronzeback. In Thai: งูสายม่านพระอินทร์ (ngu sai man pha inn), according to this website:
Common bronzeback (Dendrelaphis pictus)
They do a funny shuffle with their head when they notice you. I read that they are very nervous.
