which ATMs in the Pattaya area are equipped for cardkess operation ?

My bank account is in America. On occasion, I have had my debit card grabbed by an ATM machine
and the local bank told me I should contact my home bank. It takes a month to get a new card.
Several expats have mentioned cardless operation, using Google Pay. Does anyone know which ATMs are
set up to use this system. Card grabbing has happened four times and there seems no local remedy as
there is in the USA. In the states, they just lay out a number of ATM cards, have you choose yours and
check your ID. For some reason, they won't do that here. Any advice on cardless ATMs would help me.
I do not use a local account for security reasons and use an agent for extensions of stay. I want to end the
emergency situation of finding myself cardless when I need it most. Thanks for any advice.

Sorry I don't know anything about cardless ATM's but if you've got Facebook, join a group called Pattaya Oracle and ask the same question there. That group exists for questions just like yours.

Open a Wise account and a Thai bank account.

Link the Wise to your American account and zap money over to your Thai account.

    Good rates and instant transactions.

^That'll work. Speaking of Wise, I did a transfer to my Thai bank just recently and from the time I transferred from my home bank into their account it took 18 minutes to be in my Kasikorn account. Great Forex rate too.

^^ Yeah, Wise has really got their act together. Easy to navigate site/app which gives you a clear indication of rates and fees.

Cardless ATM's are very common here, be hard pressed to find one that does not have this.

Ive no idea if they do google pay though.

Cardless ATMs are for Thai bank cards only and usually restricted to the bank you have account with. Lol at Google play. This is Asia, fortunately no one gives a shit

Some banks are quicker than others. For me Bangkok Bank takes a day but for my partner with Kasikorn, it takes seconds. A little trick for Bangkok Bank or other prolonged waits is to do the transfer just before the banks open in Thailand. It should then be quicker, probably by the end of the banking day.
