opening a bank acc.with thai credit union.

the wife has had 3fixed accs.plus a savings acc.for over 7yrs.with quite a few bob in them,i asked about opening a fixed acc.2yrs ago, telling them i have a long term visa [extension yearly] in my passport, also a tax id,no can do we need a letter from immigration confirming your address although my tax id.has had it for over 12yrs. NO CAN DO.as these passed couple of yrs.i have had so much hassle from volanteers at imm.when renewing my ext.regarding the not knowing how a fixed acc.works,so has i have just had my address confirmed by immigration this month.i thought its time to spread a few bob in different banks, with the cover being only 1million bht.the wife went in yesterday to ask can my husband open an account with x amount.NO we also need pink id,card ,yellow house book along with what i already have.well what will their attitude be when the wife draws out most of her fixed acss.that are close to maturing soon.you would think most banks would welcome new customers now that the cover has dropped to 1million bht.DO THEY CARE? not one bit.

Banks are banks my friend, no matter what country, I was knocked back for my first home loan by my 15 year bank for missing one piece of paper, I called a broker and he got me a better deal via the same bank, (irony) it cost them money to knock me back.
