^ Quintin Territino meets WW1 ? Im not into that shit at all.
Thankfully?
Do you realize that the gaming industry drives PC development and is a large part of the tech industry in general? Video games are a $180 billion a year industry that happens to be bigger than Hollywood and all American pro sports combined. At least eighteen major gaming companies are based or have offices here in Seattle, do you know what that means? Jobs. High paying tech jobs. If I had kids I would be encouraging them to play games as well as to go to school and develop the tech skills needed to work in that industry. Because it is not going anywhere, and is only going to become more a part of people's lives as AI and virtual reality continue to be refined and developed.
Fair enough snubs. To each his own. At least my kids are successful and not wallowing in self pity and blaming previous generations like the moron backspin..
Where was I blaming anyone for anything, and where exactly am I wallowing in self-pity? I do not understand your comparison at all. Switch has been trolling this thread from the start. I merely responded to his inaccurate and untrue comments.
The video game industry helped me to pay my bills off and on for the last twenty years, so it happens to be something that I know a lot about.
My posts on this thread are not trolling, unless the definition of trolling is “anyone who disagrees with you”.
I have posted my opinion which you disagree with. From that you have assumed that I am old and irrelevant. I am 69 years old and, after a successful and rewarding career in the real world, I attended university full time for 3 years, and gained BSc (Hons) degree.
Switch is a minimalist hipster. Video games are played in doors. That just doesn't conform with the worldview
I bought F1 2017 for $10. Now I remember why I've never got into them. It gets frustrating.
Living in Thailand now since 2012, I had this same illusion that I will be bored, so I bought a ps3 to bring over when i moved with all my other stuff.
Used it for a month on and off, showed it off to the kids, and packed it away.
You don't need nothing over here mate, full stop.
Yeah so anyway, can anyone recommend any epic PS4 or PS5 games?
Also, any recommendations for games I could play with my 5 year old? We have Trackmania Turbo but nothing else is really suitable.
Slick, which PS5 did you go for? Did you get a bundle and what was the damage?
I'm keen on the VR stuff but I've been holding off for some kind of next gen shit i've not even heard of yet.
Lang may yer lum reek...
I prefer playing on a PC tbh, on the 1 or 2 occasions per month I put on a game. Not really into these story ones, car racing or a no fuss shooting muthafukahs in the head game please.
Just downloading a 50Gb Fifa 19 torrent now to see what the fuss is about.
(soz if the forum goes down again for a bit)
I paid 26k for the disc version and no game bundle from Lazada.
Games all depend on what you like to play. I do not play online shooters and prefer open world RPGs with maps and quests, some of which are quite long. I also like shooters but since I don’t play online shooter games the campaign modes are usually very short and not worth the price.
There’s also not a lot out right now that’s PS5 specific, and unless you’ve got a 120Hz 4K TV (or better) it’s a waste of money over the ps4.
Cyberpunk 2077, Ghost of Tsushima, Farcry, Fallout, Skyrim, Witcher, etc are my type of games.
I also have a PS4 Pro for sale. Single controller, no games.
This one I upgraded with a Samsung solid state internal 2TB drive imported from Amazon USA.
It’s about as upgraded as can be and a great starter for anyone with a sub 120hz tv.
If you haven’t gotten into it before, you can download any game you want from the PlayStation store through the console itself. Don’t need to buy discs anymore. I’ve got tons of games and haven’t bought a disc in years.
I’d sell it shipped with EMS for 8k negotiable.
So why buy the disc version?
Cyberpunk made a lot of noise, did you get it?
