    Flies (appropriately names insect)

is that the correct plural for the most annoying creature ever created?
Anyway, we got screens on the window. so, Thank god we don't have them in the house, but I am an outside cat, always doing something outside, and I do have them outside.
I think the National bird for Thailand should be a fly. It does not seem to bother Thais, but they annoy me to no end. I know not to keep food out , clean the dog poop and all that , but what else you all to to keep these annoying creature away from you. Do you think an electric japer such as the one below would help?

Does it randomly generate the jokes, or are they just in a sequence?

only if you put some rotting meat in the base to attract them flies are active in the daytime not at night when the light attracts other insects

Where by the base should I stand? LOL
Yea, I understand about these electric bug zappers killing a lot of the beneficial insects. I am just grasping at straws.
every time I lay down outside to read, a Fu#ken fly starts buzzing in my ear . or walking on my leg annoying the hell out of me.
I wonder if a big fan would blow them away. I think I will give it a try.
I was just hopping all of you who have been here collecting flies for years, would have thought of a creative solution to the problem other than making friends with them.

...one reason, aside from view, we chose to live on a higher floor of our condo building is that we are above mosquitoes, flies, flying termites and probably a number of other insect nuisances...enjoying a drink on a pest-free balcony is a definite perk in the tropics...

One year there was a huge problem with flies around my house. Not sure what caused the proliferation but it did not last. Fly bait worked but had to be careful where it was put so the animals wouldn’t get into it.

Do you have a Thai wife?

Fuck me when I lived in Thailand, flies outside the house were the least of my worries.

My missus moved in and brought with her, her own fucking eco system of ants, flies, cockroaches, mosquitoes, jingjoks, huntsman spiders, gekkos, snakes, snake eating snakes, soi dogs, tigers.

I'm sure I've missed a few. It was like that song about the woman who swallowed a fly.

Go to Australia for a holiday and go back to Thailand, you won't moan about Thai flies again

There's probably a dead body somewhere, or you live near MissKit, who even the flies gave up on

yep, guess i was lucky, seemed to be also a small nest. think about they come with the hundreds.... not survive that one... also the bites were around the wrist and thumb, so fingers luckily free (i am left handed!). Went back later to retrieve tractor but was not able to locate nest. Next time mowing there, full body covering

Fly bait? I have to look for some. Today i am going to get a stand fan, I have a ceiling fan but it does nothing to blow away the flies.

Please be carful. When we lived Upstate New York, there was a neighbored near by in the town who got killed by them while cutting the grass.
I did not know him personally I remember reading about it.

    BB,
I have found its a double edge sword on fly killing. You set up traps to kill them but in the past that it just draws more to the bait or lights which means more flies. A couple of tricks I have used that work pretty well was putting the fly trap away from the house so it attracts them to it drawing them away. I have also done that with Ants. Set up bait away so they go to it.
