So, my food variety (Lazada) order arrived today. The slowest delivery by far (took a week from order to delivery). They did call two days ago to ask about a substitution which I was fine with.

On the positive side the stuff was well packed (even cans were individually wrapped in bubble wrap).

Some pickled onions chilling down, and a small jar of shippams crab paste waiting to take me back to my childhood.....

With all the plastic packaging (the 'positive side') and the transport, at least you will have the snacks you like while the planet burns.

^ The greenhouse gas emissions will do far more harm than the plastic packaging.

Jut to note that the Britishop has 'updated" its website. Which means I was completely unable to place my order for some reason.

    Gave up in the end.

^ Lazada have them, expat foods thailand have them, and yes, the britishop does have them.

I sent the last one an email, they will probably sort it out at some point.

You are going to kick yourself when you finally start....

Anyway, why I was looking was my missus wanted me to order some of that "sour yellow stuff". My boy after extensive discussions with his mum in Thai decided it was most likely mustard. So I ordered both a whole grain and a dijon mustard from Tops. They arrived today, and no - the "sour yellow stuff" is not mustard.

Protracted questioning by me finally led to "Piccalilli".

Excuse dismissed, they can still be had from Lazada which is the better place to buy them from unless you have other things to buy from Britishop which had a baht 400 fixed freight cost last time I bought from them.

This Lazada shop sells them for 53.90 and the freight cost for an order of 10 cans was 104 baht.

Try Expatfoods in Pattaya. They work with Siamburi

    https://expatfoodsthailand.com/

I have used them few times and have a large selection of items. Minimum order 1000 baht before delivery charges

I think i have looked at expat foods, but off hand i think they do not have credit card payment, only bank transfer. Basically, too much trouble as i do not do online banking. Britishop was a tad annoying as the delivery charge was billed separately. Place your order, pay, then a day later get an email to pay delivery charges. This time, after they sorted the problem, the charge was included. But i think the delivery charge may have been where the system fell down. This time 230 baht for a chill box. No biggie.

Lazada is good, but they mainly seem to be more dry goods, bottles and cans. So, no cheese, sausages and processed meats.

Each one seems to have pluses and minuses, but generally worth it.

My Expat English dream would be to recieve an Ukster Fry delivered by Snakey, A tip top bucket size Pe all delivered in a French Maids outfit by DJ Pat on a steam train.

Failing that I may try an ad on Bahat and soiled, my attempt on Kaidee brought unexpected responses.

"Wealthy rural Falang seeks sausage". Many unusual bangers attached and unsurprisingy Lulu on offer.

    ^ ?

Thanks for the various offers of advice and encouragement Larry, Lom and Nid. I'm still looking for a shop that ticks both of my boxes but don't have a lot of spare time just now. I'll keep persevering.

^Mendip, I doubt you will lose some kgs if your mind is still busy with food thoughts. Try to change it, aren't other things to think on? (besides the thoughts about women, it does not change much, see what it had done with Jeffrey ...)
