^ What... you'd rather I pose without them?
^ What... you'd rather I pose without them?
^ yeah, i hadn't really thought that through, sorry.
Well... I was working away tonight when I had the strangest of LINE messages from the wife...
'Hey, you send a lot of machy peas?'
I immediately realised 'machy' must be 'mushy' ... but this was still very weird.
I replied that I'd completely forgotten about them and they must have taken a long time to arrive... I assumed that I'd actually managed to order some online food a few weeks ago after imbibing in Ya Dong or Hong Thong and completely forgotten about it.
But something was niggling at me... so I checked all my emails for the last few months... nothing. I checked my Lazada orders for the last few months... nothing.
This was a complete mystery. I messaged back and asked the wife where ever they had come from?
She sent me a pic of the parcel label, and it was addressed to 'My real name's daughter'. Not 'Mendip's daughter', but 'My real name's daughter'. If you see what I mean.
Now, there's only a handful of people on here who know my real name and address... and I have a feeling I know who this must be. Please accept my heart felt thanks on behalf of my daughter for the ten cans of Batchelors machy peas that now sit in our food cupboard in Korat. Yes... ten, no less! What a wonderful gesture. Thank you very much indeed!
I hope to thank you personally... but this could be a problem because what if I thank the wrong person and cause embarrassment? They may then feel duty bound to help me order other food stuffs online that I've been struggling with... like Thatcher's Cider, for example...
I've told the daughter to save me a couple of cans for when I get home but as she rightly pointed out, they were addressed to her and she can't promise anything.
Bloody kids!
^555 that's a nice gesture. i'm amazed she loves machy peas, bit of an acquired taste for kids.
Way cool who ever did that. Not me as I have no idea on your real name and address.
Bu very, very way cool.
Bit creepy staying anonymous though.
I'm all out of beans if anyone cares...
Hmm…hard to think which poster knows Mendy’s real name and address and who seems a bit odd but is probably harmless.
Oo, yes…who knows?
me, a good guy helped him with his pond... A good guy took the puppies off his hand. A very real and nice gesture.
