It was because nobody had ever said anything to me about river snakes !
I never knew there were river snakes . Or that they are quite nasty things . Don't know if it's true but it did shake me up .
Don't really want to find out either .
But it got me thinking ...... as I freely know nothing whatsoever about any of this stuff .
How safe are fish that are bred in all the pools of standing water that I see ?
Missy paid a man with a digger some years ago --- to come and dig out a rice paddy .
They then filled the paddy with water so it's essentially a big pond about 5 feet deep but its standing water . No flow in or out .
They throw fishlets in there and let them grow and then they breach the banks to let all the water go. Then they slosh around in the mud at the bottom grabbing all the fish .
But I have this feeling that standing water and heat means worms and parasites .
THEY freely eat these fish but I won't . Nobody told me about river snakes and nobody has said about worms or parasites in these fish ...... but it is believable to me .
So those of you who are keenly knowledgeable about fishing --- would you eat them ?
If you assure me that a hot Grilling will kill the Parasites I will still not be keen to go back there and eat grilled parasites and worms .
No matter how incinerated they are .
