So, the last hour or so saw ChokDee not so chok dee at all... He was hyperactive, licking the floor lick crazy, fast heart beat, manic and panicking - he kinda looked like a kid on acid for the first time.
I wasn't sure what to do or what the problem was, so I:
- stroked him and tried to make him relax. He was mentally disturbed by chemicals, that was sure, and that used to help gfs...
- gave him some milk and bread to ease his stomach. He had an upset stomach, that was sure.
- gave him lots of water to stop him from being dehydrated and making it worse. He was stressing and sweating and dehydrating himself.
- gave him some sweet biscuits to try to balance the acid in his system and bloat him to stop him eating more.
So, the wife gets involved and firstly:
- gives a strong Thai herb for his stomach - that may have helped balance his system? I told her that wasn't enough, he was wrong in the mind and body from chemicals...
- gives him an egg white which she says has saved many of her dogs over the years from poisoning. It kinda made sense to me that the same symptoms/problems of Thai field farm dogs which are probably related to them drinking water after pesticide has been sprayed, linked to ChokDee maybe licking the floor or a bucket after the wife had cleaned the floors with bleach (which she had about 2 hours ago), and I suspect was the problem here.
Anyways, within perhaps 30 minutes, he did a huge vomit, started to relax and is quite calm now. He's not 100% ok, but much better than he was. He is still showing signs of strange behaviour, but doesn't look like he's on a bad trip (no, not a weekend to Koh Samui although...
)
I suspect that everything helped, but the egg white forced (by syringe) down his throat is a kinda old wife's tale remedy which seemed to have contributed significantly.
