Cheers Headworx...I have a few wireless KB / mice already so...sorted on that one - thanks

ah ha! so... this is where some of my confusion sets in...

''...came with about 12 free apps...''

...means what? a computer application? What's that got to do with the tv? or is it essential for tv? something to translate the net signal into viewable content?

'Scuse my stupidity.. I always think of computer apps as like MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, etc i.e standalone applications for the computer

the operating system is android - like on the phones - and app is short for application

your missus likely has apps from the thai television stations installed on her phone which will allow her to watch the tv on her mobile or tablet

the device -android box - is just a computer running android which you output to your TV via HDMI and as it is not touch screen you can interact with it via a remote control with cursor keys or a wireless keyboard and mouse

you could use a win10 box in the same fashion , but setting up the television and movie streaming is likely to be a bit easier on the android device as there areplenty of andriod apps available for people to watch stuff on their phones

    ^Good post.

As mentioned Thai Dupp, if you can operate a phone with android you can operate the apps of internet tv. All the boxes really do is turn your tv into a giant phone or tablet, think of it that way. I think you said you're in Chonburi?. No idea how far out of Pattaya you are but the guys here who supply and set-up boxes might be able to come to you (or vice versa) for a tutorial.

    hi and thanx:

''All the boxes really do is turn your tv into a giant phone...''

...makes a lil more sense now - cheers

    We are in Chonburi...province.

Actually about 85 clicks from Pattaya moving east. The nearest big place is Bo Thong.

Tutorial might be good though... if I get stuck that can be plan B
