chromecast, anycast, ezcast or what else to play mobile or table videos on TV screen

hello,
can you tell me if chromecast can cast android and ios on TV and if it is really the best choice compared to anycast or ezcast or any other ?
I understand that a box is better than a smart TV, but I am wondering why people buy a cheap box when laptops are also cheap ? And you can do so much more with a laptop.

no idea about the other stuff, but you can definitely cast from an android device to a TV with a chromecast.
