I don't agree with that. Decent International Schools are better than normal schools in the West. The kids also get the benefit of being naturally bilingual and bi-cultural, which opens up massive professional opportunities later on in life.

Decent Int. School in Asia and university in the West is a brilliant educational life.

Can't believe your kids haven't got Thai ID cards. They're compulsory from the age of 7. They cannot use a government hospital without one. Or attend school. Or take an exam. ID cards have to be shown first.

One Thai passport the Mother has and wont return. My other child's passport expires in 3 months and she wont renew...

Either way though it would be best to re enter Thailand on the Thai passports - if there are a few months on them. Save a load of hassle and I can not think of a reason why you would not do that. Avoids the whole illegality of dual passports under Thai law conversation.

They've always gone to private hospitals and schools.
But handy to know they're compulsory, I should have known that really...
I'll try this week and see how we get on....

Are you married to the kids mother? If not take her to the Amphur and get her to legitimise you as the father at the same time.

    Different strokes and all that.

It's a massive influence having a committed father who is there 100% for the vast majority of time.
