    Me vs The Wife...

So, I have a new computer setup and decided to get a nice new fast dual channel WiFi router too.

Being sneaky, I set up the two wifi channels in my name and her name; hers the 300bps channel, mine the 900bps channel with password. She has connected her phone(s) and stuff to her channel, and I'm very happy with my fast channel.

    A win.

Took the puppy to the vet for a jab, and by the time I arrived home she had tidied up a bit including putting the router on the wall in a nice position, everything working well, she just seemed a bit happier than when I went out, she wasn't saying anything but I could tell something was up...

The router is right by her PC and she has connected the LAN - I'm not sure, but I suspect she has won, again...

^ I'm not sure exactly how the router works (all in Korean), but I don't think the LAN connections have a password, and I'm presuming they're at least as fast if not faster (maybe a lot faster?) than the wireless channels.

^^Yes, our puppy (I wanted a goat, but...), and she does some manly stuff like fix stuff, DIY, etc, so she does know a bit about making things work - she is quite tech savvy, or at least she always manages to work things out using her magical Thai logic.

I'll answer this before 7pm for you, Dave.

She didn't. She connected the LAN cable directly into the back of the router. It's the wifi that has the password.

Not that I know much about Router set ups, but if you are the router admin can't you adjust certain setting, speeds etc.?

I don't think my Korean skills are up to the task, and I am happy with what I'm getting - silky smooth.

&, if this (below) is gay then I'm in gay heaven...

If anybody is on the fence about getting either a new Mac mini or a widescreen 29-34" monitor then just do it; I'm extremely happy with my workflow and entertainment...

She's streets ahead of me Gunga Din, fair play to her. I have to say every so often my other half pops up with something that leaves me open mouthed scratching my head - life is rarely dull....

Salmon is a lovely colour for a manly keyboard - it's a bit clunky (I wouldn't recommend it).

The Yamaha has excellent sound as a guitar amp and as a desktop speaker.

&, at only 179,000 won the trackpad was great value...

Getting seamless speeds on everything - watching a lot of Netflix content, full screen. I looked at a lot of all-in-ones, but I don't think any of them would match this setup (other than graphics card). &, I don't have a camera or mic, so I have to use the Note9 for Skype.

The wifey is noisily talking to her family which is rather disrupting my Netflix enjoyment.

That's what I did for my PC...Everyone else in the house uses the wi-fi.

Except mine is directly hooked into my provider's wi-fi modem which doubles as a router. Pretty sure I get higher speeds than the wi-fi users.

This has nothing to do with the thread, but I just wanted to point out that your keyboard looks like a customised birthday cake made for some kind of an IT specialist.
