    Frequent visitor

I cannot say I am or intending to live in Thailand but I have taken a year lease on a condo.
My wife passed away last year and I find the long cold winter months daunting.
I have taken a two-bedroom condo in Jomtien. Its big enough for my children (all over 25) to visit at will.
Lets give this winter home a try.

Get on over. The winter home idea sounds like just the way to go. Dec, Jan, Feb are always the best months. Much cooler and drier. Wish you the best of luck on a smart plan. Condolences on your loss mate..

Thanks all, back there next week, the family making plans.

Yes, 'gay' beach to the right of me Akavit restaurant (my favourite bar $ restaurant) to the left, no confusion which way to turn

My rented condo is in View Talay 2B, seems well maintained, big rooms (its a 4 unit condo) and a very nice swimming pool.

Happy to share a cold beer or two when I am around.
