Where's abelour / fozzy / eggsandwich with his 70 quid completely shite flipflops? Or were they fashion sandals?
Man some of you guys went sideways about the flip flop post.
Not sure how it went from a personal safety issue to some of the tangents its on now. Guess it's forum life. Threads take on a life of their own.
You guys carry on.
Horses for courses.
I only where boots when on my bike. Theyre not much fun on the beach, visiting friends or when youre caught in heavy rain or need to get through a flooded sfreet to the next bar

The biggest hazard i found with flip flops is in the car parks where they put those bastard kerbs to stop the Thais bangin into walls. They take some skin off your toes. You soon learn after doing it 3 times. I drive everywhere baredoot nowadays
Maybe some have already decided Thais and safety are somewhat odd bedfellows.
Personal footware is for the individual to consider what's appropriate. There are many lifestyles to choose fromA here in Thailand, as opposed to other countries. Thus many take advantage and "live their own dream".
