And Pag, why did you get the dogs ears cut? Are you American? I'm sorry to say that I find dogs with their ears cut repulsive. Not the dogs fault but ............
I agree, however his ears were already cut. He's from show champions where cut ears are the norm. We got him for his breed characteristics, not a desire to frighten people. A better family dog would be very hard to find. Great with our other dogs and 4 cats, and the rabbit gets pissed off being licked.

I have 3 street dog. You couldn't ask for a better dog at any price. It is not the breed so much as how the dog is raised. Take me for example. This morning my daughter comes in and tells me, dad there is a dead cat by the gate. She doesn't care, no different than finding a dead rat. The cat gets to close to the gate my dogs reach through...dead cat. My wife comes home and asks me...so what did you do with the dead cat? What do you think I did? I threw it over the fence into your cousins yard. Now I don't have a dead cat problem, he does.

As stated many times. It's not the dog that's the problem but the owners'. Dogs are mainly kept here as an alternative for home security. The welfare of the dog is the last consideration.

My dogs well being is my first consideration. That is why I take from the street and offer a good life. The security is just an extra bonus.

Glad this turned out to actually be about dogs and not some mutts that even the Shrewed wouldn't do.

Cheers to all dog lovers everywhere.

Me too. Have 2 Thai "Dingo's" basically. Street dogs I got as puppies from stray centre foundations.
They both bitches, and are very smart, loyal, and territorial. Nothing gets into my garden without approval, and cats, rats, pigeons etc get offed pretty quickly.
They are also great family dogs, and enjoy playing with our 5 yo son, and his mates (once they been introduced).
I have no idea why people shell out silly money here for supposed "pedigree" dogs out of puppy farms. They spend more time at the vets than at home, and have obvious character defects from inbreeding.
Like most things in Thailand, style will outweigh quality every time, and "fashionable" dogs are chosen on a whim by people who have no concept of what looking after a dog entails (sic) other than as a price tag / social status emblem.
Know the price tag of everything to 3 decimal places, but the actual value of Sweet F.A.

^My dogs have always been street dogs which found me. Good-natured animals, they are.

A few months back, a friend gave me a 1 1/2 kg female chihuahua. She is the cutest thing in the universe. I take back all the dirt I dished on chihuahuas in the past.

My canine kids are a pug, a poodle terrier, a soi dog and a half pit-bull half bull mastiff with a touch of ridge back.

The first three are females all neutered and the pit-bull is a male.

I spoke to a vet about the male last week who is about a year and half old about having him neutered.

He claimed a lot of male dogs develop prostrate cancer if they are not neutered especially those that are locked in on a property and can't get to female dogs.

Bruno is such a great looking dog I really don't want to have him neutered but seems I have no choice.

Does anyone know whether this canine prostrate cancer issue is real?

Get it done as it'll reduce the chance of aggression due to not being self empty his kit bag. If you're not wanting to breed him then best get him done. IMO

    Anyways,
    Prostate Cancer

Description– We generally hear human beings developing prostate cancer. But dogs can also develop the same disease. In fact prostate cancer is much more insidious in dogs compared to human beings. It accounts for 0.67% of all reported malignancies in dogs. Prostate cancer has a very high metastatic potential and can spread to organs like the lungs, bones and lymph nodes.

The first of three boxers (the third was posted on the first page). The second was stolen. She loved that first boxer and has a dog of her own now (going on thirteen years). However it’s small dog and will travel,………..in a large purse (on planes, for free, under the seat when taking off and then next to her).

No. And I think because of that first dog she grew close to other animals and wanted them in her life.

One other thing. That first boxer grew quickly and was never alone with my daughter.

Obviously wasn't one of my wife's pies Dilly.

Leaving a pie in an oven for an hour or two whilst you are coming to your senses will make it dry mate.

Cut it today, the dogs just christened the freshly mowed lawn with a steaming 1/2 kg walnut whip. Bless

Chocolate Labs were all the fashion a few years back, then it was toy dogs then border collies.
All depends what you want from a dog cause they're all different.
    They'll keep you fit
