Nice looking dog idareu. Update on my street dogs. The blind dog I pictured earlier is gone, his brother still comes everyday but not the blind one. It doesn't surprise me it must be very hard to survive on the street for a blind dog. The dog pictured here is the reason I leave home every morning. Brown dog that lives under the bridge, come Sept. I will have been taking care of him for 3 years.I like to eat everyday and can't stand the thought of brown dog going hungry for even a day.
This little black puppy is a miracle dog. He has only been walking for about five days. The day I first saw them, first thing you notice is he can't use his hind legs, and then I notice the fleas. I've never seen flea infestation like this in my life. He looked like a little caccoon wraped in fleas. I carry powder under my seat, altough very young I had to powder him, the fleas were eating him alive, thats what the scarring on his body is. The litter mates had fles but nothing like him. Maybe because he couldn't use his back legs to knock them off ? The first day I thought not much chance he would live not being able to walk. This is him today.
Spaying is the compassionate thing to do. We have four that we have rescued, and it brakes our heart to see the rest.
The street dog situation in Thailand (at least in our area) is out of control
It does not serve the dogs well , it is dangerous, and disruptive to the neighborhood, their barking a howling wakes me up every night.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
Those dogs don't choose to be on the street. You will get used to the howling TIT. Their howling is to haunt the dirty bastards that dumped them on the street in the first place. Everybody knows it is a problem, but they do nothing, they turn their heads. Until Thai people decide what to do about their problem, I'll keep feeding them to ease their suffering.
We do the same, actually my wife does .
All four of our dogs were puppies that were abandoned in the street.
Greece had a similar problem with dogs many years ago, they resolved the problem with a massive spaying project
something similar needs to occur here . Aside from the noise and other associated problems, It brakes my heart to see all these dogs in the street.
Bit of 'boy time', same every night, our one male dog using my legs as a pillow. Note the expression of Blackie (AKA 'The Bastard') cat reclining on the sofa.
Man I would keep an eye on that cat if I were you. Looks like he's just waiting for you to dose off so he can go for your throat.
Apparently its international digs day!
So in honour of" mans best friend"..
This Staffie pup, 6 weeks old and affectionately called Runt by its Welsh owner..
This is a proper hard core battle dog that savages rabbits and cats on a whim...
This lunatic is full of energy and solid..
We've had our Sprollie since 2014 and is the best dog I've ever had..
Shalom
Street dog update. the little black "miracle puppy" I posted earlier ran out of luck, died on the street last week. RIP little guy. I was so proud that he overcame his disability, just to die on the street. There are several beautiful pups on my route, anybody in Ubon need a pup I can hook you up. Human nature is the beautiful dog will get adoppted first. I tell my daughter, I feed them quality food so they at least can look beautiful, if they are beautiful maybe they will get adoppted. So when a puppy goes missing you tell yourself I hope he got adoppted by a nice family. Couple days later you smell him rotting in the bushes. Street dogs survive off sour rice, Thai people dump buckets and dogs live off that pile for days. Sour rice makes for ugly puppies, no hair covered with scabs. A little quality food adds the nourishment they need. This beautiful little girl my daughter is holding got adoppted.
This is what I leave home with, 365 days a year. From the left, general population,Brown dog under the bridge, he is special and gets all the scraps from my house, puppy food, just water added to soften, the pups love it. Hot dogs with medicine for Pooh. Pooh got hit on the road 5 days ago. When I found her I thought her leg was broke so rushed her to the hospital. i didn't want her to be a cripple the rest of her life. Luckily it's not broke so they just cleaned it and wrapped it. Now the gf has to go with me so we can clean and wrap Poohs leg every morning.
The geese scared him off..
Thanks to everyone who posts pictures of their dog/s I really enjoy seeing them.
So I thought I should post a couple of pictures of our now not so little pups. I which of Mendip's threads it was but I did post some pictures of our 2 pups when they were little.
They are now about 8 months old and they are fantastic.
This is Mork at about 5 months old and this is how he likes to sleep a lot of the time.
Mork asking what's going on
Mei asleep. A lot of our older dogs like to sleep with head up on the rail as well.
Mork. I think it was on here where someone posted about a dog breed "black faced cur" well I reckon he must be one. His colouring is just like his Mum's
Brother and sister together, he's almost twice her size but she is the boss, fiery little bugger.
Great example about that saying "its not the size of the dog but rather the size of the fight in the dog that counts."
