Much more relevant than the opinion of a self confessed junkie living in Krautland.

Lots to see down south, Krabi is scenic, though it's gotten very busy over the years, they bus in hordes of Chinese lately.

Like I already said; the best way to see the countryside is from a bicycle.
Tons of great little bungaloes, motels, hotels, guesthouses, outside the big tourist areas

stroller doesn't like anyone competing for his job. He and he alone speaks for 'everyone'. Even those he doesn't.

Mr Earl, I have taken your advice and now pedal from the lounge suite to the fridge and back. You certainly were right. Oh the healthy life! When I get a little fitter from this savage exercise regime I intend to pull out all stops and pedal to the TV to change channels.
Lady Cow,however, has not been so impressed by this sudden penchant for extreme exercise. I am sure she will calm down as soon as the surgeon has removed my front wheel from between her buttocks.
Rest assured in a few months time I will further take your advice and with the good Lady Cow in tow find the nearest 4 wheel drive petrol driven bicycle and furiously pedal to Krabi. By then Lady Cow should have recovered enough from the operation to be able to sit down again.

Thailand has it all....Mountains, seaside towns, islands, river, jungle, countryside, big city that never sleeps and various whore towns dotted around the place.

    Take it all in

While I agree, I don't see the incentive for anyone to compete with a washed up wreck for an imaginary job.

What I do not understand is why some posters respond to this multi-nicking OP as if he were a genuine chap actually looking for some advice or chit-chat.

Its so fucking stupid but I suppose a sad reflection of the quality of the board membership and the forum as a whole which really is on its last legs.

Dull, predictable and becoming quite tedious.

Actually, on further reflection it occurs to me it is the work of our, no doubt, very bored, Croydon captive, Somtamslap.

An easier digestible philosophy might be:

Less Farang in residence can be beneficial for the culture.

Seekingasylum. I would suggest if you have nothing to add to my genuine question and you dislike my light hearted banter to lighten it up, please feel free to sling your anchor.
If you wish to increase the quality of the membership can I suggest you immediately leave. That will not only improve the quality of the board membership but drastically increase its average IQ. If that is the quality of your posts I would rather stick a red hot poker in my eye than read another. No one forced you to read this post. Please feel free to make unneeded unwanted and ill-informed comment somewhere else. If you wish to comment further it should be to let me know your location so that I can cross out any place within a 200 k/m radius. My lungs are not as good as they should be and with the increase in atmospheric CO2 levels (thats carbon dioxide to you) the last thing I need is to be anywhere near an oxygen thief.

Indeed the dogs can be sometimes rather pesky.

Once I got attacked way out in boonies south of Prachuap Kiri. Fucker bit right into one my nice new panniers, I'm glad it was not my leg!
Now I tie something bright colored to dangle from the pannier, this distracts them.
Carrying a stick also works, when they see that, they know what that means.

Another dog deterant for defensive purposes when riding a motorbike and curious dogs chase you, is to throw a blown up ballon out . The dog will bite the balloon and the popping sound will scare it so much the dog will never chase your bike again.
What you fill the balloon with is a matter of choice.

A small .22 pistol is more efficacious and I suspect much more satisfying.

Indeed, but would also land you in jail.

As long as you rent, don't buy (both property and pussy), it doesn't really matter. Both are available cheap. Not like, then move on.

I hear them southerners ain't so keen on the traditional NATO/ANZAC farang, but I guess after they experience Chinese, Middle Eastern, and Russian tourists, they may change their tune. You have to wonder whether Thailand now has decent rivals offering pretty much the same kind of thing.

I like the corners... Ranong, MHS, Chiang Rai, Nan, Beung Kan, Ubon, Trat, islands and hilltops... less risk of rabies, fewer human parasites, lower chance of noise and stress.
