Any OK places to stay at Hau Hin, nice without costing the earth,
Stayed at Jings Guesthouse for a week in 2014. One of the better rooms they have was THB900/night if you want super cheap!
All sorted, thanx
Is this Hua Hin?
900 baht, super cheap?Originally Posted by greasystick
At 1000 baht, kinda expensive prices for a cheap bastard like me (), but usually you can get a decent place for that money and there's loadsa places, some good discounts, many places look nice and in good locations.
Hua Hin / Cha-am Hotels
I think I usually paid about 500 baht a night right close to the main beach, in the bar type area, small backroads where there's quite a lot of little guesthouse places.
Cycling should be banned!!!
Taxexile lives in Hua Hin....I hereby volunteer his services to put you up for a week or two, if you bring along your Thai in-laws and cook food on his carpeted living room floor. And tell them to buy "pla ra".
Treat yourself and go upmarket mate, it's low season now.
You can find somewhere nice for 70 USD a night. Back home in Oz you'd be paying that for a fukkin Travel Lodge.

^ there's a fair point actually; low season, you can find some really nice places for $50-$100 per night, so worth doing for at least a few nights - feel like a hiso (better quality females in the premises!).
Honestly, use agoda.
You can search via map - i.e pick exactly where you want to stay.
Best way to search for the best place is to select the "all reviews" filter.
REMEMBER TO ONLY LOOK AT HIGHLY RATED PLACES IF THAT'S AN AVERAGE OVER AT LEAST 50-100 REVIEWS - EVERY FUCKER GIVES THEIR OWN GAFF A 10 RATING

Why is Oz so overpriced? And for that matter, SA too.In Perth City a scank arse Backpacker is hard pressed to find a bed in a ten bed dormitory that smells like shit for $ 40 AUD.
You may find a $ 70 US Travel lodge but it will be on the dark side of the fuking moon.
It's all comparative with the wages.
Aussies earn a fortune
The two years i worked in Oz i was seriously coined up.
Australia rewards hard work and enterprise.
Stayed in a nice hotel just down the coast from Hau Hin central on the beach and worth a visit.
Quite and good for family's if that's what your looking for, top staff and location.
Also a free tuk tuk service to the town.
Hua Hin Blue Wave Beach Resort Prachuap Khiri Khan near Cicada Market
Hua Hin has become a very congested tourist shithole like Pattaya and Patong. Give it a miss unless you want to be 'asshole to elbow' with rude Chinese, Scandinavians and some of the very worst Thai scum, Thailand has to offer.
Much better smaller towns and deserted beaches to the south (Ban Saphan, Ban Krut). Many great little resorts here and there.
They charge ludicrous amounts for short tuk-tuk rides in Hua Hin, too.
