Yes if you look at the picture of the legendary 38 bus note that the windows are open.
That's to prevent exhaust fume build up in the passenger area.
Driver is immune who knows what drugs he takes as a preventative to carbon monoxide poisoning.

I've had some luck at On Nut but not uni students. No air con but most of them 38's have oscillating fans so situate yourself right and you'll avoid the fumes. Don't be too serious with this venture. Look upon it as a challenge in a city where it's just too easy to pay for sex. And the more crowded it is the better the opportunity.

I used to take it or the number 2 bus to Chatduchak to go to the used book stores many years ago - 2 baht on the red number 2 bus and I think the blue 38 was 3.5 baht

I hate the Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza shit but do enjoy a beer.

This place is 2 minutes walk from some of the best bars if you are looking for female company in Bangkok.

    Nice, quite, clean and cheap.

I've stayed in >50 hotels around Suk over the years. Answer these questions and I can help: What's your budget ? Do you want a pool and a gym ? How far are you willing to walk to BTS ? Lotsa good spots between 1200 & 2000B.

Low budget, don't like giving money away, or as long as it is clean and tidy,,,also not noisy, stayed at 2 places beside night clubs, no sleep, don't need to swim ? already fit so don't need gym and enjoy walking, Your Guidance Sir.

Wow a lot of joints have rebranded. It took me awhile to figure out what they were before. I-Check In on Soi 2 looks like a great deal right now. Town Lodge on 18, I-Galleria on 13, Unico Express (if you don't mind Arabs), At Paradise on Soi 8, Livingstones on 33, Darjelling on 18. I'm looking for myself next month and these were the best deals I found on Hotelscombined.
