Family spirit event

There are 3 spirits who look over my Thai family, and once a year they are evoked in a family gathering.
The place of the meeting is a relative's farm even further out in the sticks than we are:

Some of the extended family wait inside, some outside, some will only come later after the pig's been slaughtered.

Money is donated, it secures a bag of raw pork and covers expenses.

Very nice. We had a similar thing in a corrugated iron hut up Tramroadside. Somebody buggered off with the collection money, nobody had foreseen that happening and the "church" stopped through lack of support. I still wonder where the spirits went.
