    Bringing life into perspective.

For 8 years the father of an only son has been working 2 jobs in Bangkok ,sending money home to educate the son.
Next month the son was due to graduate as a doctor, not bad for a farmers son , but last night he was hit by a car and was killed while walking across the road. The dad has no option but to remain working in Bangkok as he sold his farm to help finance the education. The whole village is in mourning as the lad would have been the first homegrown doctor from here.
In Oz the lad would have been educated by the government through loans to be paid back when he strted working , but here the father has sold his farm and spent 8 years away from the family and sent who knows how much money home for zilch as it turns out. Instead of coming home with the son returning the goodwill extended he will have to keep woking his butt off now just to survive, poor bugger.

Sure is some crap injustice dealt out everyday .

My heart goes out to the father , the poor guy has sacrificed his family life to be away in the big city probably spending hours alone working God knows how many hours / days a week .

R I P to the young lad and hope one day the father can rest easy knowing he did his all for his son .

Life does seem bloody cruel and unjust at times .

Another little example , just last week one of my mates at work he and his wife both around 35 ish 3 very young children , she had a bit of cancer this time last year ,, had the treatment all ok etc ,,, just been for her annual check up ,,,,, has been now given the devastating news she has less than 1 year to live .

Fair to say there is a sombre mood around work now ,, and for sure we have to make the most of each day , put in perspective exactly what our problems are , then realise things aint quite as bad as we thought
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

^^Heartbreaking. It's amazing how some people can make it though one day living with such misery. Hope the father can find some happiness in life.

Now that is a very sad story.

The only positive thing is the dedication shown by the father and the achievements of his son.

This will never be forgotten by family and friends including people who have never met the father. His actions should be an example to others about how to be a great dad.
