    Holiday rentals

Was looking for a place to go for a holiday in a few weeks and came across this site.

I've seen similar sites to this, but for Thailand it has seemed that the rentals are more like disguised serviced apartments from commercial operations, with prices to match.

This looks like the real thing.

    Thanks for the link.

In July for a 40th year university reunion we rented this place up in Chico Cal. Was just a brilliant deal. Came in at the exact price about $125 a night as a cheap motel in the same town in high season.

When joining a new service, it's understandable you may have certain questions or doubts. That’s why we've created a community marketplace that brings security and trust to the table in a way never before possible. One of our best features is our secure, reliable, and convenient payment system. We ensure that your money is safe by holding your payment until 24 hours after check-in, at which point we transfer it to your host. This gives you time to arrive at the listing and make sure that everything is as expected. If something doesn’t seem right, you can get assistance 24/7 from our friendly team by contacting Airbnb Support.

Here are a couple ways you can take advantage of our features and play it safe as a guest on the site before you book: 1. Check out a host’s reviews on his or her profile. Since you can only write a review after a reservation is confirmed, you can trust that any review you see on a profile page is the result of an actual person booking with another member of the community. 2. Use the secure messaging service on Airbnb to work out details with your hosts by clicking Contact Host. Feel free to ask hosts whatever you would like, including details on specific amenities, who (if anyone) will be sharing the space with you, how close the listing is to where you need to go, and anything else you would like to know. Also in the message thread, notice the user flagging feature, which allows you to notify us should you feel uncomfortable or if a host tries to complete a booking off-site. If you are interested, you can see more ways you can protect yourself as a guest on the site in our FAQ: www.airbnb.com/help/question/241 We also have a great Trust Center that has many more suggestions and information about our features: www.airbnb.com/trust
