Thanks, Ratch. Great photos, good info. Intend visiting this coming Friday. H-I-D has a thing about orchids! We have around 300 spread around then garden, but she is always looking for more!
Your map excellent - except I can't relate it to anywhere! How far out of Ratchaburi is it? Any route numbers?

Hi Rach! A follow up on my previous posting. I visited the Blooms Park, and it lived up to all your expectations! A wonderful experience. Gardens are well laid out, exceptionally well managed with a cheerful staff, well they were when i introduced myself as "Thai"! My party was greeted at Reception, and as I was using with a walking stick, a wheelchair was immediately brought out from the office. We were escorted by a knowledgeable young man throughout the tour, who also, incidentally, pushed my wheelchair! Now, that is service! My wife, an avid orchid "collector", bombarded him with questions throughout the tour, which he willingly responded to, and told us that the gardens had not been opened to the public for very long, and that works were in hand to expand the gardens to compete with (the Swiss Village - not too sure on the translation of that!). The many ponds and waterways are to be joined up and small boats will be available for visitors to tour the gardens by water. All this is to be completed by the end of this year. There is a coffee shop in the Reception area. This is not really a place for children to visit - unless they have an overwhelming desire to smell orchids for an hours of two! The overwhelming perfume of orchids in bloom is unbelievable and the various displays throughout the gardens is awesome! We have booked to visit again after Christmas! Oh, by the way, once you are on the Route 325 "Blooms" is clearly sign-posted, and you cant get lost!
