Will this rubber protest be the brick that broke the camels back

seems things are really heating up, Its getting international press and none of it is good,

Will the government do anything other than crack a few heads? or continue to ignore the problems in the south???

The protesters have been hosing the police down with acid and torching reporters' cars. Yesterday, I saw a report on go6.com saying that there had been 25 injured - all police. I'm no great fan of the Thai police or of this government but so far the response, relative to recent Thai history, seems fairly restrained. Of course, if the mob threaten shopping opportunities for the Bangkok bourgeoisie, I imagine we would see an immediate and rapid escalation in the degree of state violence.

Two local protesters murdered...more of the same from other areas regarding price guarantee's by PT.

rice subsidies remain at 15,000, but the surplus of rice will definitely kill all markets globally. Latest protest in the north is the corn price at 3-5 baht per kilo...more self made traps by the P.T. and Yin Luck.

The farmers are living on a borrowed income guarantee from the Thai government which it cannot sustain.

    Major economic failure predicted.
