    Adventure racing

    Aloha,

Finally I have quit my job, so now it's time for a 6 week trip to Thailand.

Most of the time we will stay with the missus' family, but I would like to escape from the family obligations for a few days and do some adventuring.

Any idea where I/we can find some adventure racing, long distance running, biking or similar crazy ninja activities?

We will be in Thailand in April/May, mostly in Songkhla and Bangkok.

Why not try running from Songkhla to Bangkok.

Flight tickets have already been brought and I don't want to waste them, so that distance must wait till next time.

river kwai adventure race is good fun, i did it last year but i think you'll miss it

march 10 - River Kwai Trophy - Adventure race in Kantchanaburi, Thailand but email the guy anyway and ask about adventure race training - he'll basically take u (with a small group) over the course, without the time thingy...

this guy named pete ( pebond at loxinfo.co.th ) used to run a lot of races and triathlons also, I think he still knows of things going on.....

also try Southeast Asia bicycle tours - cycling and biking group travels in Thailand, Cambodia, Burma or Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam (i think thats the address - but google it otherwise.) its not adventure racing - but he runs pretty good bike trips around thailand and also other asians spots...

The River Kwai Adventure Race sounds great, but it is taking place a few days to early

Guess I'll annoy Pete with an email. Thanks for the links.

The Sukhumvit pub crawl can be quite challenging.
