Im in the process of buying my 4 year old step daughter off of her father who hasnt seen her since she was 5 months old. i need his signiture to get her a passport to bring her to the usa. I am utterly disgusted and ashamed that this is happening. Im going back to thailand in july or august to handle the transaction. Ill let you know what a 4 year old fetches in thailand.

I wonder why you think you are buying your stepdaughter. What you are considering is offering the father a cash settlement to give up his parental rights.

You could very likely have his rights taken away by a court without having to give him any money. I know that, because I went to court for my stepdaughter and didn’t have to pay anyone other than a lawyer about 20K, including filing all the papers, accompanying us to court, and a translator for me when I was questioned by the judges.

But you don’t have the time to wait, so you are willing to pay to expedite the process.

wife (42) said her mother tried to sell her when she was a tiny baby. something about crying too much and having a few older siblings already. seems her dad found out and shot over to the neighboring village, found out who took her, and got her back. this story came after being told about when she was an infant, mother had turned her on her stomach and left her that way hoping she'd die. now I don't know if infants can or cannot lay/sleep on their stomachs for extended periods of time, but given the family history I don't doubt the story one bit.

this morning I'm given a review of the previous day at wife's parents house (which also houses her younger 37yr old idiot sister and offspring). the latest 'husband' of about one and a half years was recently kicked out and told to go away for being an abusive, drunk, drug addict, lying, scum. While that should have been done over a year ago and was tried a few months back, but he only returns and restarts the shit. my wife thinks she's the family matriarch and is feared, and again kicked bro in law out and sent idiot sister to stay with other sister in another city hoping that with no honey pot around, the bee will not bother to return.

Return he does yesterday, wife is there and tells him to get out again, and it he doesn't she'll sell his 1yr old kid (who is in custody of idiot sister). he's mortified and begs her not to sell his kid. wai'ing highly with forhead on the dirt begging don't sell my kid.

wife tells him he has to come up with 5000 b in 2 weeks to give to sister to help take care of the kid and then he has to go away, otherwise it's bye-bye baby.

yea, i guess they still sell kids here.
