^ We never had enough left for bubble and squeak on a Monday,
I remember my brother getting whacked for not eating all his dinner, I would soon help him polish it off.

I remember waiting by the oven for the beef to come out, so I could suck on the string too

Well ok but , I will have to sit Sab opposite you so you can keep him under control a bit , as you have that kind of air of a headmaster about you and he is one of these young thrusters !

Pete I'm talking about doing a special roast for the lads who have become accustomed to the local cold hedge clippings and frogs wings and are hankering for a one off HOT meal with some good ol hot gravy .

I haven't had custard in ages, that spotted dick Nigel mentions is nice, I miss a nice rhubarb or apple crumble too.
Christ that looks good Sab ! did your dear lady cook that ? or you ?
The challenge has been thrown down mate , watch this space on a Sunday

I think spotted dicks involve currants or something far nastier , I do a nice steamed sultana pud with some syrup on the top though , as for my crumble ,, er well if you've got a hole in your driveway you want filling

Despite Marmites derisive comment, and do agree with that, in the lack of good beef here, we are spoilt for choice, cheap and tasty chicken & Pork.

I great range of Vegetables and even fruit at super cheap prices. Seafood, crab and fish, even saw some big bastard tiger prawns.
Do miss my cheese but Tasty Mangos, bananas and oranges more than make up for it.

I have had some locally grown beef here which has been absolutely superb regarding quality and taste. Usually get it from Foodland in Pattaya at a reasonable price.

With regard to other meats and poultry, seafood, vegetables and fruits Thailand offers as good as you will get anywhere else in the world at a fraction of the price you will pay elsewhere.
