after getting, lobess off to school yesterday, i leisurely strolled into the hong nam for a cleanup. no water, ah well ive seen the boys working up the road over the last week so sit it out. expecting it back on in the evening. evening comes , err in doors arrives for a shower, no nam, so i go out side, no idea why but i look at where the meter had been. shit the meters gone, now we had water up till past when lobess went off to school , so methinks not stolen. today on her way to work err indoors calls into the water company, low and behold its there practice to recover the meter seven days after non payment, never had a bill this month and told its your fault, a connection fee is due, ffs , so bottom line is reconnected at 1700hrs, shit that shower was good. all sweetness around the barn now.

Have a word with your bill delivery agent ... they have a habit of sticking the bill between the bars on the gate. A bit of wind/rain/kamoy and the bill is gone!

= meter gone ..... water or/and electric!

ps: One can bypass the water meter quite easily - and I don't want to be zapped! :-)

Just had exact same thing happen to me with my electric 2 days ago. They took the meter right off the telephone pole. Hard to make a payment when you do not receive the bill. Of course in the end it was our fault.

Waterman collects the money at the same time as you get the bill. If no one in then he comes back when you are. I thought it was this way for everyone ?

Only seven days late and the water meter is disconnected? That seems insane- I can see it happening after a month + seven days.

My electric meter was yanked after 7 days. I was told water the same way. No grace period here.

We get a statement slipped into our mail box. The meter fella prints them out. Here you cannot pay the meter reader. You have to pay at office, pay at bank, 7/11 or by autopay.
