Thread: Freelancer Beer Gardens/Bars in Vientiane

Anyone know of outdoor beer bars where freelancers hang out in Vientiane? I'm not a night person when it comes to hustling or being hustled, so I'm particularly interested in locations that are workable in the daytime. Thanks in advance for all replies.

You will struggle in the day time looking for gash, dont see many people drinking during the day at all , mid afternoon at the drop zone bar or kop chai der might be your best bet , You dont have to worry about stumbling into the shifter bar known as GQ anymore , its long closed and is now an aussie sports bar run by my mate pat. No gash there either though, just drunk aussies

Four floors up opposite the river.
Always manage to nick something nice out of there late afternoons to late evening.
Usually around the pool tables .
Good food and a great view too.
Never had a problem taking girls back to the Mongol hotel .

Be sure to book the room for two or get stung by the joiner fee.

The mongrol hotels changed now as well, had a massive facelift and calls itself seasons , looks quite nice, but ive no idea what there policy is on bringing back tarts,

Have they caught the Phantom Poisoner of Old Vientiane town yet? Some above average looking freelance bargirl, quotes decent prices and then according to local news reports in Laos, when she gets down on her knees to fellate her customer, injects a large dose of strychnine into the femoral artery. Killed 20+ mongers so far in the last couple of month, one of which still had the needle which had somehow been inserted into his japs eye. Of course, the foreign press are not reporting this, but if you can search in Laos slang you can read all about it.

Apparently she is fairly hot, can be friendly, but a little offish sometimes.

Anyone know the latest on her?
