    Great holiday photos Lao

The missus is looking much better

Great mountain scenery on your treks

Never been to Laos. Probably the only SEA country I have not investigated.

It is looking like a bucket list omission on my part that may need remedied.

Great views in luang prabang but this time we were just interested in eating and drinking and visiting my wifes auntie so didn't do a lot of Touristy stuff, I was also keen to try out the new high speed train and I've gotta say it didn't disappoint

One thing about the train system i can complain about is the tickets can only be bought 48 has before travel, you can't book return , you can't book online, in vientiene you can't pay in cash only with bcel one pay app. The stations are miles out of town the stations are huge yet there's nothing in them can't even buy a bottle of water. There's little doubt that the trains just another conduit for the nasty china to import his crap and himself.
But once your on the train it's a game changer, luang prabang to vientiane in 2 hours.

I'd certainly be keen on some of that Jap food, for the right price- but hold the mayo! Don't think I ever tried that fried river weed. One for the beer bucket list.

The river weed is strangely good sesame seeds and tomato are pounded into and it is dried in the sun until it's in crispy sheets. We successfully smuggled quite a bit of it back into Australia.
