Awesome thread..thanks!!
Funny thing is I was watching some youtube vlog and low and behold the commander walks through the shopping center with some of his buddies all in uniform.
If you've read the thread you'd have heard him mentioned. Myself I would have just looked at the pictures. Fish don't make no sense to me. Like a Led Zeppelin, rambles on.
Not sure If I posted these before but they may be worth a revisit. Just trying out the new format while I have a minute. Now If I can figure out the Attached Images bit and how to comment on the still Id have accomplished something. These were taken in Vang Vieng Laos late 2016.
Another balloon ride pic. Again sorry if I hit this before. I did scan the thread and found a few duplicates but hey I never said I was competent or even remotely sane. How else would you end up in one of these things over Laos.

The sunrise. This was posted at the start of this thread however I did a basic "tweek" via the photo editing softwear so it's a bit different to the eye.

The other group that was up that morning. Thats were they landed. I guess it is what it is, anyway the wind blows.
The mountain that Wat Phu is on. The sleeping lady to the right.
Temple in VTE. The Haw Pha Kaew.

The river under Buddha Cave. Don't get why these next few didn't work.Strange that they show up on the laptop but not the phone.

Like I said the place was closed due to high water however a friend (the park ranger of sorts) took me in.
I was inside looking outside, the millions of faces but still I'm alone. Waiting hours of waiting....(Foreigner) Long long way from Home.
Damn, I must have been shaking. I must blow up the thumbnail next time before posting, oops. Well you get the Idea, caves are like pussy...some are darker than others I imagine.
Looking down from the entrance to the cave. The river runs under the main cave where all the statues were found not too long ago. Damn I got vertigo just looking at this. Another crap pic brought to you by ........the fish.

Tosser.
Top notch stuff as always Fishy. I was too off me nut on xtc and mushies to know what was going on, but apparently I was in VV.
Looks lovely.
Is it a nicer place top retire, than say, Rayong Industrial Zone?
Thats better.
Leading to the cave.
This place did not see the throngs of tourists. I saw a half dozen locals during our visit.
So you could say we were both pretty skyed while there. Too bad I lost all the zipline footage. Guess I'll have to go back someday.
I'm not the best at taking pics but this is the place to launch into the cave from. This place was way off the beaten path.
The tree house in our front yard. If he falls he would roll into the river. Safety first hey.
Just another day at the office. I hope you enjoyed looking at these as much as I did taking them. The kids will be a foot taller by the time we make it back. Paperwork sucks.

Vang Vieng the Nam Song river. Can almost see the bridge in the distance.
From the viewing platform as you exit the cave on the side of the mountain. The bridge on the left that one takes to get here.
